St. Paul Lutheran Church has roots that go back to 1967 – 1968, when a number of pastors from the Anchorage area flew over to conduct services for interested families. Rev. Ernest Johnson of Bristol, South Dakota, was called in September of 1968 to serve as pastor. The congregation was officially organized the following April.
